Celebrating, preserving, and presenting folk music from Oman and three visiting
nations, the Folk Music Festival is an annual spectacle that focuses on the
importance of heritage and tradition. Sharing history and the stage with other
countries provides audiences with an opportunity to reconnect with their own
country and make new connections with the rest of the world. In Folk Music Festival
2024, Bulgaria, South Korea, and Paraguay, come together on the maidan of the
Royal Opera House of Musical Arts with bands from three regions of the Sultanate
to share their unique presentations of folk music with joyful sounds and colourful
choreography
