Rossini’s opera is a comic masterpiece about disguises, deception and true love, and a fabulous season opener from La Maestranza Theatre of Seville, with direction from José Luis Castro. In The Barber of Seville, we meet the wily Figaro, helping Count d’Almaviva to win the hand of Rosina, against the wishes of her guardian Dr Bartolo, who would have her and her fortune for himself! Enjoy a mischievous plot full of twists and turns, disguises, and tricks. A stellar cast includes Antonino Siragusa as Conte d’Almaviva, Carlo Lepore as Dr. Bartolo, Nicola Ulivieri as Don Basilio, Maria Kataeva as Rosina, and Vito Priante as Figaro. The Omani Choir Group will also participate in this production. Pre-performance talk one hour prior to the show. For ticket holders only
