THE ARTISTIC WORLD OF ZEFFIRELLI

16th January- 20th March

Celebrating our 10th anniversary, we are pleased to present an exhibition on the late Franco Zeffirelli (1923-2019). Zeffirelli was the stage director of our 2011 inaugural opera Turandot, by Giacomo Puccini. Through artefacts, images, and videos designed especially for the Royal Opera House Muscat, many on display for the first time, the exhibition is an artistic tour de force of Zeffirelli’s vision for grand opera. Among the productions explored will be Turandot and Rigoletto, commissioned especially by ROHM, along with Tosca (Royal Opera House Covent Garden), featuring Maria Callas, La Bohème (Teatro alla Scala, Milan), and Falstaff (Metropolitan Opera, New York).
