ROHM’s gala concert takes the audience on a journey into the
wonderful world of Broadway with the charismatic British baritone,
Simon Keenlyside. Noted for his versatility and highly charged
performances on stage, Keenlyside will enchant the audience with
famous songs from musicals such as My Fair Lady, Kiss Me Kate, and
Oklahoma!
Keenlyside’s professional debut as a baritone took place in 1988 at
the Hamburg State Opera where he appeared as Count Almaviva in
The Marriage of Figaro. He then joined the Scottish Opera, performing
among many other roles, Figaro in the Barber of Seville, Papageno in
The Magic Flute, and Belcore in The Elixir of Love. Keenlyside’s talent is
recognised world-wide with performances at prestigious venues
including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, San Francisco
Opera, the Paris Opera, the Sydney Opera House and New York’s
Metropolitan Opera. Mr. Keenlyside will be joined on stage by the
versatile actress and singer, Jodie Jacobs and the music will be
performed by PKF- Prague Philharmonia under the baton of Charles
David Abell.
