Muscat, November 2024 – The Royal Opera House Muscat proudly welcomed iconic Emirati artist Ahlam for an exclusive, sold-out concert on 14 November. In a milestone first, ROHM opened its outdoor Maidan, typically reserved for the annual Military Music: Oman and the World event, transforming the space to host over 2,500 guests for an unforgettable evening. This concert was seen as a highlight in Muscat's cultural calendar.
The audience was captivated by Ahlam's soulful performances, which included some of her most cherished songs such as Motheer, Ebn Eltorab and Tadry Leish. Her expressive voice and emotional connection resonated deeply with fans, underscoring Muscat's enthusiasm for live Arabic music. The scenography was breathtaking, with captivating visuals complementing her performance, creating a truly sumptuous spectacle for this iconic Arab star.
Building on Ahlam's successful concert, the Royal Opera House Muscat looks forward to two nights of jazz with renowned British vocalist Anthony Strong, accompanied by the Latvian Radio Big Band, on 28 and 29 November at the Royal Opera House of Musical Arts. Fans can also join Anthony Strong for 'Coffee and Dates,' an intimate conversation with Umberto Fanni on 27 November in the Music Library.
Additionally, this month, ROHM also launched the new family initiative, Let's Read, with a theatrical storytelling event presented by YouThinkers, bringing the magic of Beauty and the Beast to the Music Library on 16 November. This event set the stage for ROHM's eagerly awaited Beauty and the Beast ice show coming to the main stage in January 2025. The month closes with the season's second Lunch Music on 30 November, featuring performers from Opera di Monte Carlo singing selections from La Fille du Régiment at the Opera Galleria at 12:30 pm.
