SYMPHONIC CONCERT

The Royal Opera House Muscat is delighted to present the first concert of the season with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nationale dell Rai. The National Radio Orchestra of Italy will be conducted by the acclaimed international maestro Michele Gamba. Joining the orchestra on stage will be Ettore Pagano on cello.
The concert will consist of a programme of overtures and movements from bel canto composers Paisiello, Cimarosa, and Rossini of the early 19th century. The orchestra is much in demand on the stages of the world and has been the resident orchestra of the Rossini Opera Festival since 2017. The cellist who will take to the stage for the solo of Rossini's Une larme, da Pechès de ma veillesse, for cello and piano, is nineteen-year-old Ettore Pagano, winner of the prestigious Kachaturian International Cello Competition in 2022.
The concert will take place at the Royal Opera House of Musical Arts on Sunday October 1 at 7pm.
