The celebrated Kuwaiti singer and music icon, Nawal El Kuwaitia, known as Shaikhat Al Tarab (Queen of Classic Music) and Qaitharat Al Khaleej or (Harp of Khaliji Song), is one of the most popular and successful superstars in the Arab music world.
Nawal El Kuwaitia is considered by many as the number one singer in the Arabian Gulf region. She studied at the Higher Institute of Music in Kuwait and began her rise to fame at the age of seventeen with a stellar on-stage performance of songs from classical artists such as Talal Maddah and Abdul Karim Abdul Qader.
Nawal's vocal talent is matched by her remarkable facility in playing the piano, oud and flute, as well as the harp. Nawal released her first album in 1984 and now has special albums sponsored by Rotana. At important festivals and in her own concerts, Nawal El Kuwaitia sings to wildly enthusiastic audiences in the Arabian Gulf as well as in several countries abroad. Among her most famous songs are Ma Abi Menak Katheer and the O'zerini Duet with Abdallah Al Rowaished.
In a concert that is not to be missed, Nawal El Kuwaitia will perform on stage at the ROHM on Friday 25th January at 7:00 pm.
