As 2018 comes to a close, the Royal Opera House Muscat presents a fabulous operatic gala starring Vittorio Grigolo, one of the leading tenors of his generation. Vittorio Grigolo currently performs in the world's great opera houses, including, among others, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Opernhaus Zurich and Palau de Les Arts Valencia.
Grigolo's repertoire includes some twenty-four operas from a range of composers, among whom are Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini, Gounod, Massenet, Offenbach, and Bernstein, along with Rossini's sacred works. Grigolo's 2010 debut at London's Royal Opera House was described by The Guardian as "nothing less than "sensational". According to the LA Daily News, Vittorio Grigolo has a voice that "can explode like a canon, ring like a bell and purr like a cat".
Grigolio will be joined on stage by the dazzling Khazak soprano Maria Mudryak, lauded as one of the best sopranos in the world. The music will be performed by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Marcello Mottadelli. A highlight will come with the participation of the virtuosic young pianist Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev, who at the age of twenty-five has already toured throughout Europe and in China, Japan, the Levant, the USA and Mexico, among other places.
Vittorio Griogolo will perform in concert with soprano Maria Mudryak, and pianist Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev on Monday 30th December at 6:30 pm.
