ANASTASIA

Inspired by the legendary love story of a prince and a princess in times long past, the ballet expresses drama, betrayal and revenge, with masterfully choreographed battles and magnificent court scenes. The strong tradition of ballet in Belarus has been evolving progressively since the nineteenth century and is now one of the finest in the world. The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus is a landmark on the international landscape. Anastasia premiered in October 2018 with choreography by Yuri Trayan and reflects the theatre’s ongoing commitment to the creation of new works in the classical tradition. A pre-performance talk for ticket holders only, will be held one hour prior to each performance.
