Muscat, 13th February 2025 – The Royal Opera House Muscat hosted a spectacular Pipe Organ Concert on 13th February, featuring renowned organist Claudio Astronio. A virtuoso celebrated for his expertise in sacred and symphonic organ works, Astronio captivated the audience with his impeccable performance, highlighting his unparalleled technique and expressive depth.
The evening's programme showcased the outstanding Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra (ROSO). Under the charismatic direction of Gianluca Marciano, the orchestra delivered a dynamic and refined performance, demonstrating their versatility across varied musical genres. Marciano’s engaging presence on the podium further elevated the experience, guiding both musicians and audience alike through an unforgettable night of music.
The concert's first half was enchanting, combining international talent with community involvement, featuring the magical voices of Piccolo Cantori di Torino children’s choir. They also performed alongside specially selected children from Cheltenham Muscat and Downe House Muscat school choirs added a local flavour to the performance, demonstrating the rich musical potential within Muscat’s youth.
