The series begins with the Mohammed Abdul Wahab Exhibition, open from January 16 to February 28​. This exhibition showcases the life and work of one of the most influential figures in the Arab world’s musical history. Visitors will be able to experience a curated selection of photographs, artefacts, and personal items that highlight Wahab’s creative journey, his pioneering contributions to Arabic music, and his lasting influence on generations of musicians.

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on his compositions, his collaborations with renowned artists, and his influence on musical trends in the Arab world.

 On the evening of February 15 at 7 PM, the first of two unique concerts, 'Homage to Mohammed Abdul Wahab: Concert One', will take place. This special evening will feature prominent singers Ali El Haggar and Mohammed Mohsen, who will perform a selection of songs sung and composed by Abdul Wahab. The concert will celebrate Wahab's incredible contribution to Arab music, particularly his romantic and patriotic works, showcasing his timeless melodies through the voices of these renowned contemporary artists. This concert is part of a larger festival dedicated to Abdul Wahab’s life and works, which includes an exhibition and other special performances.

Absolute Music: Spirit of the Orient

Join us for an exciting Absolute Music concert featuring the Spirit of the Orient Quintet on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 7:00 pm at ROHM. This one-hour instrumental concert will showcase the mastery of five renowned musicians: Adnan Fathallah on oud, Tima Nasr on qanun, Abdel Jawad Haritani on cello, George Matanius Tannous on violin, and Shafiq Fahd Yaghi on percussion. The quintet, founded in 2016 in Damascus, brings traditional Eastern music to life with original compositions and classical Eastern forms. Their unique blend of instruments and cultural influence creates a captivating performance that celebrates the essence of the Orient.  Royal Opera House of Musical Arts

The series will conclude with the second concert in the tribute series on February 20 at 7 PM, 'Homage to Mohammed Abdul Wahab: Concert Two'. This evening will spotlight the works Wahab composed for the iconic singer Umm Kulthum, featuring acclaimed singers Reham Abdul Hakim and Jahida Wehbe. Their powerful performances will bring to life some of the most beloved compositions that Wahab wrote for Umm Kulthum, celebrating the deep connection between the two musical legends. This concert will provide a fitting conclusion to the festival, highlighting Wahab's collaborations with one of the most celebrated figures in the Arab music world.​
