Through this creative event, learn about music from the ground up. Why do objects make a sound? How can that mechanism be reproduced in an instrument? Make instruments, play any instrument you are interested in – there will be one of every kind to try, create a ‘symphony’, and learn how music is central to everyday life. Many educators, including The Play Toy Orchestra, will deliver workshops throughout the day, alongside other activities.

PLAY THE VOICE WORKSHOP

with Albert Hera
+

In ‘Play the Voice’, a workshop dedicated to children from 7 to 13 years, you will explore the art of building music by playing with the voice, discovering how the ability to communicate and sing are powerful tools to stimulate our sound creativity, grow our capacity for learning, and develop intuition. During the workshop, Albert Hera will also lead learning through other instruments, including the loop station, an instrument that allows us to record and reproduce our voice continuously. Join us for a workshop which seeks to give everyone the power to use their voice! This is an activity for parents and children, each benefitting from the shared experience. .

SOUNDS IN THE AIR WORKSHOP

with Rosa Mazzei

Humans have always found a way to make music and the flute, one of the oldest instruments in the world, is proof of this. Dedicated to children aged 7 to 12 years, the workshop aims to discover how everyday objects can make music with air. Blow into the neck of a bottle, a pen, a straw and finally play the flute! Come and discover how to use colours and numbers to learn music and how your body can become a musical instrument!

Play the Game Workshop

with Play Toy Orchestra
+

With the aim of stimulating the imagination of children through play and sound, the Play Toy Orchestra will present children with toy instruments. Children will not only hear professionals creating a symphony of sounds from these instruments but will join in, be invited to play and maybe even conduct the Play Toy Orchestra for a day. Through interactive games, the stimulation of sounds through unique instruments designed for children opens a new world of play. Become a member of the orchestra!
