HÄNSEL UND GRETEL

The celebrated Deutsche Oper Berlin brings a magical rendition of the classical Grimm’s fairy tale, Hänsel und Gretel, from stage and costume designer, Wolfgang Gussman and director Andreas Homoki. Engelbert Humperdinck’s popular family opera delivers the centuries old fairy tale to the delight of family audiences around the world. The opera tells the tale of two children who are lost in the woods and find themselves at a cottage made of sweets, only to discover that they have been lured to the home of a witch. They must use their ingenuity to escape! This production features the extraordinary participation of a local children’s choir.
