Chick Corea is an American jazz and fusion pianist, keyboardist, and composer who has attained the status of a living legend. His phenomenal talent is attested by sixty-three Grammy nominations with twenty-two wins. Many of his compositions such as Spain, 500 Miles High, La Fiesta and Windows are considered jazz standards. As a member of Miles Davis’ band in the late 1960s, Chick Corea participated in the birth of the electric jazz fusion movement. With music conducted by Ion Marin, Chick Corea will play a special programme including Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue alongside a variety of his own compositions.
