This year, the ROHM will be staging some of the greatest works of Umm Kalthoum and Abdel Halim Hafez. Tunisian singer, Leila Hejaiej who is a wonderful performer of Tarab songs is known for her compelling recitals of classical Arab and Tunisian music and her ability to explore new techniques of creative musical interpretation. She will be appearing alongside the Tunisian singer, composer and actor, Mohamed Al Jebali, a versatile artist who has brought diversity and freshness to the Tunisian arts scene. Al Jebali who equally stirs the emotions of elderly and young audience with his heartbreaking lyrics, melodies and performance is renowned for his mesmerizing performance of Abdel Halim Hafez and Mohamed Abdel Wahab’s songs. This has earned him national and regional acclaim and enabled him to record and produce many albums. In addition to his participation in several Arab music festivals and competitions, he has also taken part in the Arab Music Festival at Cairo Opera House on several occasions.
