RECITAL CANTANGO

The star of the show, celebrated tenor Fabio Armiliato, collaborated with tango pianist and arranger, Fabrizio Mocata, in combining belcanto with tango to create a new kind of theatre called "Recital CanTANGO". They drew on the legacy of two early twentieth-century tango interpreters - Tito Schipa and Carlos Gardel, a prominent French-Argentinian singersongwriter and actor. Recitation is by Natalia Bolani, a wonderful Uruguayan actor who takes the audience on a journey back to the Rio de la Plata in Argentina and Uruguay in the era when tango was born. With instrumental accompaniment, video projection and animation, the innovative choreography is performed by Los Guardiola on the original music arrangements by Fabrizio Mocata.
