Royal Opera House Muscat welcomed audiences into a world of wonder and shared delight

Sunday 8 February 2026

The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) was transformed into a luminous underwater fairytale this February as The Underwater Bubble Show delighted children, families, and audiences of all ages with a visually enchanting and joy-filled performance. Warm, playful, and richly imaginative, the production invited audiences to rediscover curiosity and childlike wonder through a shared experience of laughter, surprise, and awe, where bubbles became a universal language of joy.

Presented on Friday 6 February at 7:00pm and Saturday 7 February at 4:00pm at ROHMA, the award-winning show captivated audiences with its seamless blend of theatre, mime, dance, puppetry, juggling, contortionism, sand art, and magic. Since its premiere in 2012, The Underwater Bubble Show has charmed more than half a million spectators across 42 countries and was notably featured during the opening ceremony of the Sochi Winter Olympics. Its appearance at ROHM offered audiences an elegant yet joyful spectacle that celebrated creativity, imagination, and the simple pleasure of wonder.

The performances reflected ROHM's ongoing commitment to welcoming family audiences and presenting a diverse and inclusive programme throughout the season. Alongside opera and major musical genres, ROHM continues to present lighter, imaginative works that invite new generations to experience the magic of live performance. By offering a wide range of artistic expressions, ROHM reinforces its mission to bridge cultures and generations through the shared language of music and performance.

Audiences are encouraged to visit the ROHM website to explore upcoming productions and events taking place throughout the season.
