Rhythm of Life: Richness and Diversity in Omani Arts

Tuesday 18 November 2025
The Royal Opera House Muscat announces the opening of Rhythm of Life: Richness and Diversity in Omani Arts, a new exhibition celebrating the depth and diversity of Oman's musical heritage.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the country's musical landscapes, from the rhythms of the coast and desert to the melodies of the mountains and rural regions. It explores traditional instruments, regional genres, and the creative developments of Oman's cultural renaissance, highlighting the craftsmanship, traditions, and innovation that continue to shape Omani music today.

An immersive sound experience invites visitors to listen to archival recordings and explore digital instruments under an acoustic dome, bringing Oman's living musical traditions to life. The exhibition concludes with displays of rare publications, scholarly works, and commemorative stamps that reflect the ongoing preservation of this cultural legacy.
